Pausing to visit a url

Is there a way to pause a slide when visiting a url link? I don't want to put in a timed pause, as I want the end user to take as much time as they want. I can insert a trigger/pause when they click on the link, but I want it to start back up automatically when they come back to Storyline as the active window (without having to click on a button...) There is likely a way to do this but I can't seem to find it!
Thanks!

Hi Toni,
I'm afraid I don't know of a way to restart the timeline or content when a learner returns to a course, automatically. One option I did want to suggest is the option to show an actual "pause prompt". This way, when the learner returns to the course, they'll be aware that the course is currently paused. You could do this with an object and state, or even a layer. Show the custom "paused" layer when the user clicks on the URL and have a button tied to the prompt that will allow them to resume the course.
I know it's not exactly what you wanted, but I thought I'd share the suggestion, just in case it's something you'd like to consider for the course.
I'm sure others will have some recommendations, too!
Good luck on the project,
Christine
Thanks so much for your speedy response, Christine! That's something I had considered and may have to do it that way!
