Pausing when recording the screen
Jun 13, 2014
Hi everyone,
I am new to articulate and story line and have a project that I need to complete like yesterday! Its going well but I was wondering if there is a key board shortcut to pause screen recordings?
I have looked at http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/keyboard-shortcuts.aspx web page and the space bar Pauses/plays the timeline once you click the play button on the timeline, I need to be able to pause the recording without moving the mouse!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ross

Hi Ross
You can set your own Pause keyboard shortcut to use during recording. After selecting Record Screen and you have the recording window open, click the cog icon to open the recording settings, and in there you'll be able to set your Stop & Pause shortcuts.

The default pause/resume is the tilde key. If you want to change that to another key click the gear icon on the bottom.
Thanks for the replies, a great help.
