pdf in scrollable window

Jun 25, 2015

Hi all

I am looking for a solution to a problem I am having.  I have a 7 page .pdf document that I want to put into a scrollable window in the player.  However, I can not seem to figure out how to merge the 7 page document into one? to put in the window.  My course currently is rather simple, a learner launches the course, the first slide gives them a language choice "French or English" they click on one and currently the .pdf opens in a new browser window.  The learner then must read this cocument, return to the player window and click "accept" in order for the course to be marked as complete.  In running it in the SCORM Cloud, I am seeing that people will choose their language, the ducument will pop up in their browser....they may read it but unless they know that the player is now hidden behind their browser, they will not know that there is an "accept" that needs to be clicked in order for it to be marked as complete.............What I want to do is have three slides int he player

1. The Title/Language choice screen

2. The document that must be read

3. The slide where they much accept that they have read and understood the document.

Please help!!!

Hi Graham,

There are at least a couple of ways to do this.

1. Add the document to the resources tab in the player. Pro: easy Con: opens up in a new tab

2 Turn the pdf into a web object. Check out this discussion on how to do it. https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/embedded-word-document-or-pdf

Pro: Opens up within Storyline Con: Takes a little bit more work.

I just did the second version yesterday and I got it to work perfectly.
