PDF on LMS is not available

Hello,
I'm new in using Articulate storyline. I created a course with PDF documents, which are inserted in the story_content folder. The exported version as exe-file works. So the link is correct. In the version for the LMS (Saba) nothing happens, if I click on the linked element. I changed the writing (underscore, space etc..), no animation, no makros, no HTML5 export. But the pdf document is not opening. Have you any idea what could be another reason for this behaviour?

Hi, Sandra -- Thanks so much for reaching out! May I ask how you have added your PDFs to your course? Did you use hyperlinks as described here, or are you utilizing the Resources tab as noted in this article? And, may I ask if you are also finding your PDFs to be inaccessible if you test your course in the SCORM Cloud, as well?
Hi Sandra!
Sounds similar to an issue another user had here. Perhaps your file path length or folder set-up is the cause of your issue as well.
Thank you for your reply!
I'm not sure, if it's the same problem. I stored the pdf documents in the folder "Story_content". A hyperlink on the element in the course is linked to this path. That should work, am I right?
Hi Sandra
when you say you stored the pdf docs in the published folder - that is normally what happens when storyline publishes your .story file and packages up the files from their location (normally on your local drive). So in your content you would have a button or a link that has the trigger to 'jump to file xx' when user clicks. The file being stored on your local drive. Then when you publish Storyline puts them into the story_content/external_files folder. Is this where you are seeing them?
Hi Sandra!
Looks like Wendy has popped in to assist here.
You would want to add the hyperlink as shared in this tutorial. You would add the hyperlink with the file path to the local location, then Storyline will place a copy in your published output as Wendy shared above.
Hi Wendy,
thank you so much for your reply!
So, what I've done: I insert the link in the trigger-assistant: Folder: File:story_content/
After publishing the course, I insert the corresponding pdf document in the folder story_content.
The exported version for cd works, the exported version for the LMS (SCORM) not. Is there any work-around or trick or little issue I've failed to recognize?
HI Sandra,
For the LMS version are you uploading it to your LMS to test it or testing the published output locally? You'll want to ensure you've uploaded it as testing it locally could cause you to encounter security restrictions and elements of the content won't work as expected.
Hi Sandra
so are you pointing the link in your story file directly to the published file folder?
Try putting the PDF onto your desktop. In the trigger wizard point to the desktop location, then publish and see if file is in the external files folder. Then test in your LMS.
