Perspective Shadows malfunction in Storyline 1.6
Aug 19, 2014
In Storyline 1.6, when I opened a project that I was working on in version 1.5, all of the objects with perspective shadows were messed up. After further exploration, I realized that selecting the Perspective shadow style for an object does indeed change it to the "correct" way, as shown below.
However, if you change one parameter (it doesn't matter which one, they all cause the same error), the 3D angle of the shadow changes to this:
After the shadow changes like this, the only way to get it back is to re-select the Perspective shadow style from the Preset drop-down, then don't change any of the parameters.
I like the "normal" 3D perspective and I like to be able to change the parameters. Does anyone know of a work-around for this?

Hi Nathan and welcome to Heroes!
I'm sorry to hear about this behavior you've run into - and I just tested this out on my versions of Storyline Update 5 and Storyline Update 6 and saw the same behavior. I've shared this with our Quality Assurance team to review, but at this time I can't offer a time frame for when or if it'll be fixed, so in the meantime I'd suggest to continue to use the workaround of re-selecting the perspective shadow.
Thanks Ashley, I appreciate your response. Putting the problem in capable hands is a great first step
No problem Nathan, and I'll update you here if I have any additional information to share - so you'll want to ensure you're subscribed to the thread at the top.
