Photo Character Updates

Hello,
I am needing to amend the SL2 real life characters for content I'm building. I'm needing to update the graphics to smartphones so they aren't dated using flip phones. I'm exporting a png to Photoshop, doing magic there, then exporting to web to save the transparent background and reimport as a picture in SL2.
However, the graphics are degraded when I first export them from SL2. I can see this if I export and then reimport the picture right away, before any Photoshop work. I'm hoping I'm not the first person who's tried to update these and can offer a solution as I can't work with the degraded graphics that get exported out of SL2.
Thanks in advance!!!
John

Hi John!
You may want to try inserting the character you wish to edit, right-click and select Size and Position, click Reset, then save as image (.png) to make edits in Photoshop. If you're still seeing a loss in resolution, increase the size of the original image before saving as a .png.
Thanks for your response! I've done exactly what you recommend and get the same results. I've attached the file that shows 2 original images and two imported. So I basically just did the reset and export to png, then immediately reimported the png picture. Note the detail that is lost in the ties. The originals are on the left in each pair. So I never even took them to PS, as I can see the image resolution degraded as I've saved the picture and reimported the image in SL2. Regards, John
I invite you to repeat this same process and see for yourself what it does to the image quality when you do a save picture. Thanks again in advance for your assistance! :)
Hey John - thanks for sending over your file. I did a quick Peek screen recording that shows the difference in bluriness when you increase the size of the character before you save it as a picture. Hopefully this helps for what you're looking to do, and if not, we'll keep digging!
THANK YOU!!!!! Sorry, I didn't try that from your first response.
You're welcome! So glad it helped. Be sure to reach out if you have any further questions!
