I have a presentation I am working on. Previously, when I click on the slide in the story line view, the scene slide opens and I can modify the photos, text boxes, ect. Today no text or photos are showing up and they are not present if I do the preview of the presentation. They are still present in the story view window. If I click the scene slide, where the text box is will highlight the outline, but no text is present. Same for the photos. Any idea what is up?

Next, I'd try to import the project into a new Storyline file as described here to see if that resolves any of the issues with your project.
