Pick Many Doesn't Seem to Work

Nov 20, 2020

Hi all,

This has me stumped. I've tried to insert a 'Pick Many' interaction. It won't let me select the two correct answers and click Submit - clicking a second choice cancels out the first.

Please help with the attached!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Charlie:

I'm unsure if this might have happened because you had a pick one question, duplicated the slide, removed the pick one and changed it to a pick many.  (I'm not saying that's what did it, just wondering)

However, first thing, when I opened the file the Green selected states were not aligned to your A,B,C,D - not sure why that happened either.

To your question, I noticed that when you right-click on the rectangles with the A, B, C, D you then can see on the submenu "SET" (see image below), when this is clicked each of them were set to "pick one", when you change each of them to "none", the question then changes to a Pick Many.  I can't say why it wasn't this way to start with.  Just to make sure I created a second slide from scratch to ensure placing objects on a slide and then converting to a freeform pick many worked, and it did so not sure where your issue came from.

Also, if you try to remove this "SET" from the group, it didn't work.  When I removed it from the answer text rectangle for each choice it didn't work.  I had to do it to both the A rectangle and the Text answer rectangle beside it.

Typically you don't have to do this "change set to none", but this is how to fix it on your slide.
