Pick many - restrict choices.
Feb 20, 2015
I have a style matrix - where I need to allow user to pick 2 dots out of 6 - They are arraigned so that there are 2 sets of 3 on one page.
0 0 0
0 0 0
I ONLY want to allow them to choose 1 in each set. So that if they try to choose a 2nd the other choice goes away ( radio button )
I know I can do this if I have only one choice with radio buttons, but can it be done with two sets on one page.
Let me know if this is clear.
Thanks,
t~

Hello Tyler!
You may be able to accomplish this using state change triggers. You can assign the radio buttons to be either Hidden or Disabled when another button is selected.
Attached is a sample file. I am sure if there are other ways to achieve this, other members will jump in with ideas :)
Much easier than anticipated. Perfect. Thank you.
Glad this helped you Tyler!
You can have more than one button set on a slide. You just need to right-click and bring up the menu.
Set all the radio buttons in your first set of three to Button Set 1.
Then for your second set of three, choose New Set, give it a name, then set those three buttons to have your new set (Button Set 2)
This way the user still has the option of changing their mind.

You have no idea how I've struggled in the past with state changes etc to effect what you have just shared. Button sets - who would have guessed?
Such a simple, elegant solution. Thanx for sharing.
Hi Alphonso! Glad to see that this older thread was able to assist you here. Thanks for popping in to share your thoughts :) Hopefully Deanna is still subscribed and will see your gratitude.
