The idea of my slide is that learners need to drag and drop each dental treatment onto one individual appointment slot on the schedule (A-F)
I've set up this slide so that:
Only Root Canal and Implant can be dropped on B or E
Only the two Emergencies can be dropped on C or F
Only New Patient and Fissure Seal can be dropped on A and D.
I've done that ok so far. My issue is (to give an example for 1): if a Root Canal is dropped on B as it can be, how can I stop Implant also being dropped on B also? I want to set up that if B is already selected, then the only answer left that is correct is E. I need to do this for 2 and 3 above also.
Thanks Veronica. I can see you have found the solution for the root canal and implant, however I can't see from the Form View and triggers how you made this happen so I can replicate with the other treatments. Can you talk me through what you did?
There are no triggers actually. In the QUESTION TOOLS menu if you open the Drag and Drop Options, you will see a checkbox that says "Allow only one item in each drop target".
This makes it work for all your items.
Does that make sense? Please let me know if you have any other questions.
The reason I didn't use the drag and drop freeform as that I couldn't see that you can instruct the system that there are two correct answers, only one as per the form view screen. How did you set the multi answer up as the form view only has option to link one drag item to one drop target. Its working when in the preview but can't see how you would have set it up.
Does this question need to be tracked? That is, is it part of an assessment?
If no, then this is OK as is. In the form view, I basically assigned one item to each target so that all items were draggable and all targets were considered drop targets (by Storyline). Then, played with the question settings as previously described. You are changing the state of the items to Drag correct using triggers, so the rest is simply managed that way. If you wanted to show the Correct layer, you could just add another trigger just like the Submit trigger with conditions you already created, but this time to Show layer Correct.
If this question IS part of an assessment, then I'll need to take another look and see what needs to be done to make it trackable (that is, considered Correct by the LMS).

Hi Keryn,
One way to do this is to convert the slide to a drag and drop freeform (instead of the current pick one).
See attached. Will this work for you?

Oh, sorry Keryn, yes of course.
