Pixel coordinates in a State

Mar 19, 2013

Is there a page somewhere in the support forum that shows what the pixel coordinates are inside the state of an object? I understand that little + sign at the top left of an image / object is the 0,0 mark, but is SL using an xy plane or something to determine the coordinates inside a state? How would I correct my coordinates when they're not the same in a State from the regular slide layer?

Thanks,

Jesse

Good Afternoon, Jesse.

To be sure I understand the question, are you asking us to display the current coordinates of the Mouse Cursor in the Taskbar, à la SnagIt?

If that's what you mean, it sounds like you'd need to submit a Feature Request, as I'm not seeing that functionality right now in Storyline.

If I've misunderstood what you're asking about, perhaps a quick Screenr could clarify what you're looking for?  Thanks!

I like that idea, that's partly what I meant, but I was wondering if there was documentation that was available that would show me how to figure it out manually.

Currently, I have to copy an object from outside the state, create a new state, and paste the object in. I could save a step if I new how the coordinates were organized within the state of an object.
