I have created a number of D&D games using a StoryLine template. Here is an example. The game works fine except that when you click on the Play Again button ... which uses the "Restart Course when user clicks" trigger, the result is a blank slide.
I have attached the .story file. I would appreciate any solutions as how to fix this issue.
Thanks Garth for the work-around. However, I still would like to know from Articulate whether the Restart Course trigger has a bug, doesn't work or has limited functionality. This would help me (and others) know whether and how to use it when developing future projects.

I tried a few things and came up with this combination:
On your Results Page and Lost Game layers I added triggers to reset your varaibles to 0.
I changed your trigger from Restart course to Jump to Slide 1
The order of the triggers is important, the variables need to be reset prior to jumping to slide 1.
I set the Properties of the base layer to Reset to Initial State when revisited.
This seemed to work
Hi Russ! Looks like Garth is taking care of you here, just let us know how that solution works for you and if you need anything further.

Hi Russ! Okay, your response made me dig a little deeper
This actually has been identified as a bug and the fix is on target to be released with our next update.
What I do not know the answer to is when that update will be.
I'm going to flag this thread for myself though, so that I can follow up and update at the appropriate time.
Good catch Russ!
Thanks Leslie, that is what I needed to know.
So for now, I will use the workaround that Garth provided until the next release of SL comes out.
Cheers,
Russ
Sounds great Russ, glad I was able to answer your question.
Any news on a fix? I just ran into this issue running Update 5.
I didn't see this bug mentioned in the release notes for the last two updates.
Hi Simon,
It seems that there is still an issue with the "restart course" trigger that is with our QA team, and I don't have an additional update to share.
