I've noticed that clicking player's play/pause button at the end of slide timeline it makes this slide start again.
Was it always like this? Is there any possibility to prevent it from restarting the slide?
I didn't know this behaviour before and used "when timeline starts" trigger a lot in my projects and restarting slides make them not working as I expected.

This option is only available for the modern player style. It adds a play/pause button to the bottom of your player. The classic player style also has a play/pause button, but it’s combined with the seekbar as a single unit.
Is there any possibility to prevent it from restarting the slide?
No, there's not an option to prevent restart, but you can always remove it from the Player if you prefer not to have it. To do this:
