Player background color with a zoomed picture

Jun 30, 2015

I'm having an issue trying to find out where to change the color, on the player border, when a picture has the zoom setting. I know where and how to change the player colors, and I have the PDF cheat sheet, but I still cannot find where to change the background.

Picture 1 shows the background with the picture in a normal state and picture 2 shows the background in a zoomed state.

If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it. I've been looking for a couple of hours and I can't find it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, Chris -- Sorry to hear you are experiencing these issues. Would you be able to provide your .story file or a sample here so that we can do some testing and take a closer look? And in the meantime, could you please run through a few troubleshooting steps to rule out the causes of odd or erratic behavior? Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline.

Good morning Christie,

Thank you for getting back to me. I have attached my .story file, It's still a work in progress. Also I am working locally with all files and this is a new install of S2.  I tried importing this project into a new file but I am still having the same issue.

I look forward to your reply and thank you for looking into this.

Hi, Chris -- Ok, so I was able to publish and test your file, and I also created a sample file using the same player and zoom setting, and was able to confirm that the greying out of the background is functioning as it should. This behavior is meant to call out the information in the foreground in the zoomed area to make it stand out for learners. Hope that makes sense. :)
