Player Controls issue

Jun 16, 2020

Hi there. I' ve added a seekbar to a slide with audio to give the user
control over the scrubbing of the video. However, when the user progresses
to the next slide, and then decides to return to the audio slide, the
previous/next controls appear beside the seekbar, which is not what I want.
In addition, the previous button actually progresses to the next slide
instead of the previous one. Can you advise?

Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks so much for the video, that was very helpful!

The issues I had with the previous button moving to the wrong slide were
the ones added by the player controls next to the seekbar, so there are no
triggers for those. This issue crops up in both classic and modern.

The previous/next player control buttons only appear next to the seekbar in
the audio slide. I assume this is because there are only 3 slides?

The reason I mention video and audio is that using classic, scrubbing audio
does not work, but works fine with video. This issue crops up in both
classic and modern. Chester felt it was something to do with the question
form on that slide.

I do have one final question. The file I sent on to Chester might help with
this. I have a play button in the audio slide, with simple play/pause
triggers. So if I pause the audio using that button, then scrub it using
the seekbar it begins playing again, but the play button in the slide has
no way of knowing this, and so doesn't change state. This means to pause
the video again, I need to press the button twice, once to play (it's still
in the pause state) and once to pause it again. Is there any way I can
construct a trigger that changes the state of the play button from pause to
play when I scrub the seekbar? I hope that makes sense!

Thanks again for all your help,

David
