It sounds like you are wanting to replace the color of the player frame with your own custom background. As far as I now, you cannot use an image in place of a color in this case. The only thought that came to mind was to try and adjust the transparency and use an image from an HTML page. Unfortunately, although the player frame does allow you to set the color to 100% transparent, this only works if you are using a solid color html background.
I'd recommend submitting a request for a feature that would allow a custom image to be used in place of the standard solid background - I think that this would be a pretty awesome player enhancement.
