Player's Next button becomes outlined in yellow?

Jan 13, 2018

This happens in both preview and after publishing it to Review.  I have a link in the player that users can click to view simulation directions via a lightbox.  There are 4 pages in the lightbox link.  Once you click Next (and Previous) in the player (for the lightbox), those buttons become outlined in yellow.  I didn't even know that was possible.

Weird thing is, this wasn't happening at all until today.  I made some general updates, including adding 1 directional slide to this section, and now this.  I'm a bit stumped.  Is this a bug?

Stripped down the slide content so I could share.  Here's a video as well as the story file.

I have to present this module to some clients in less than two weeks, so any ideas on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Ramona,

Thanks for sharing your file here - this is something we recently reported to our team as a possible software bug. What we've seen is that a yellow accessibility box appears around the Player buttons (Next and Prev) when clicked, if slide is displayed in a lightbox. It does appear right now to only impact the HTML5 output  - so you may want to look at defaulting to Flash in the meantime.

From here, I’ll meet with my team to take a closer look so we can determine next steps. I’ll let you know as soon as we have an update on this issue. Thanks so much again for letting us know about this, and I’m sorry if it’s slowing you down.

Great news, Ramona!

We fixed the issue you reported where the yellow accessibility box would appear when clicking the Next and Previous buttons of a lightbox slide.

Here's how you can update Storyline 360 to see all the latest features and fixes. If this problem resurfaces, please record a Peek 360 screencast for me, and I'll be happy to help!
