I'm not sure what you mean by a home button? Are you thinking of a custom button that will link back to a particular slide? You can't add that to the player itself, but you could create a custom button that will always direct a user to a particular slide (or even link to a url) if clicked and you'll just want to place that button on the master slide and apply it to all slides.
The only way to make a custom button like that on the player itself is to modify one of the existing ones - for example, in the image below I've shown where you could change the label on the "Submit" button to be "home" - but you would then also need to update the trigger logic within each slide that so that when user clicks on "submit" - it goes to X slide.
You definitely can add a tab either to the upper right or left - on the right hand side it'll appear as a drop down menu. You may want to review this article for all the different ways you could customize the Storyline player.

I wanna link a home button to first slide but that button should be on player not in slide..

from this I cn add text but I want an icon of home button ..
You cannot add buttons or icons to the player only tabs
