Unfortunatly I did not find an answer about this elsewhere...
When I create a slide with questions from a question bank, I can not change the settings for the player of this slide. Even worse, I am not even able to make changes in the "overall player settings" as the question bank does not respond to those changes.
Since this post was over 8 years ago, let's start fresh! It sounds like you're running into some issues using questions banks. Can you share a bit more about what setting adjustments you're looking to make?
I was looking to see if a question bank had player controls on it. For instance, in my main scenes, I need a slidebar, but it is a nuisance on the quiz slides. I can't figure how to turn those off on the slide that pulls the question bank. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry that you ran into the disabled menu appearing during a quiz draw in a mobile setting using the Classic Player. We have reported it to our team, and continue to keep an eye on it to evaluate how many customers are impacted and what impact it has on courses.
Here's some more detail about how we tackle bugs. I'm really sorry that I can't say when this issue will be fixed, but you're in the right place to stay updated on this bug's progress.
Is it possible that you can switch to the Modern Player?
I am able to modify the Menu and Seekbar options on my question bank. However, I do not see an option to remove the "search" function from the Player Options tool.
I want to have the "search" option on for my module; but I do not want my question bank to appear as a result in the learner search.
For example, the learner will search the key word "patient." Anything in the module and in the questions will appear as a result. How do I limit that, so that questions are not populated in the search?
Thank you for your help. Is there a way to have the search bar navigate only one section of my course? I have my course built in "scene 1" and assessment built in "scene 2." When I add the search bar it searches for both content in scene 1 and 2. Is there a way of removing the search from scene 2?
While restricting the search function to specific scenes is not a current feature of Storyline, we have a request logged for the ability to customize the player's search behavior.

Hi!
Does your quiz have a results slide? Are some of the properties that you want to set on the results slide itself?
I'd like a solution to this question as well

Hello Brian!
Each of the questions slides have Slide Properties, where you can customize what is shown on the Player.
Here's how to customize these settings:

Hello,
I have a problem with question bank.
When I use it with the classic player, the menu button appears in the tablet player while I have disabled it on each slide and in the player options.
In addition, this menu button is not clickable. :(
Do you know how to remove it from the tablet player? Please
Thanks.

Hello Kathleen,
I've created a quick Peek 360 video to show you how to remove the search function within the Player Controls section of the Player Properties.
If you have any other questions, please let us know. Happy to help!

Hi, Kathleen.
While restricting the search function to specific scenes is not a current feature of Storyline, we have a request logged for the ability to customize the player's search behavior.
We'll come back to update you when we have news to share. You can also keep an eye on our feature roadmap here.
