Player skips slide layers in HTML5

Hi folks!

I've got a little issue, I'm working on a project where I need to let the learners know what the function of the buttons are. To explain the buttons I used layers with a faded black background with a highlight and a text. When they click outside the highlight it'll go to the next slide layer.

Now this all works totally fine when I published it and run it as a flash-based player. But when I test it as a HTML5 it skips a few slide layers.. This is weird because if you click outside the highlight-box it goes to the very next slide-layer..
