I just want to make sure, is there anyway to make the player text on Articulate Storyline bigger? Such as making "Resources" bigger, and the glossary text definitions?
Agree with Bruce, I have just talked someone out of using a glossary because the font is too small (and because they wanted the same glossary over 4 courses which would be a nightmare as you cannot import a glossary)
We have started using inline definitions using underlined words and on hover captions
You ca-a-a-a-n import a glossary -- in a way. The glossary is transported with the player. So if you export the player, you can edit / extract the XML for the glossary. This can be transported by copy / paste into another exported player XML file and reimported into SL. It's a job - but it does work
Steve I remember you saying that in the beta. What I neglected to say was we are building 24 courses split into 4 sections each (hence the glossary across 4 courses) and converting 21 courses split into 4 sections (from Studio.
The courses I built last year had lots of post publish hacks to achieve what they wanted, I am trying to reduce my workload on these and the conversions, so will forget you reminded me about that
I would like to see a lot more built in to Storyline, including
I would like storyline to ask me at the start what colours, fonts I want to use instead of having to set this up, it would also be nice to have a quickstart option
Bruce's idea but I would like a completed state that tracks across slides instead of using variables. It would use the branching and a wizard to sort this out

Kate,
I believe that this is not possible currently, however I know it has been submitted as a Feature Request, which you might wish to do.
You can change the font, which can give the appearance of larger text, however, this is something that needs to be addressed IMHO.

Do you have an example of what hover captions look like or are there any instructions out there on how to make those?
Thank you for your help!
Sincerely,
Kate

+1 for player level font size control. The one size fits all... doesn't.

I would really, really like to see a reduction in "hacks" and an increase in defaults that I can set myself.
Fonts sizes, and (for example), animation speed (I never want have "medium") are two examples of this.

Don't disagree with you, Bruce I think those are things that should be addressed.
But I'm an old sailor. We tend to cuss a lot in mixed company and make do with what we got
Nothing that can't be fixed with duct tape, WD-40 or beer (having a drink instead of messing with it) :P
LOL.
And if Duct tape does not cure it....YOU AIN'T USING ENOUGH DUCT TAPE!!!!
I am trying to stop all hacks.
