Hello everyone! Would appreciate your help on something if you please.
I have audio on my slide and would like it to resume playing where it left off when I return to it. But I don't want to use the resume saved state feature. I always use the reset to initial state. Any help is appreciated!
Hi Annie! To add onto what Yusuf provided, even if you set your course to allow resuming from where the learner left off, the media in the slide will automatically start from the beginning. Media placement is not held. I hope that information is helpful!
You would probably have to do something with custom triggers so when you leave the slide, the audio will pause and when you return to the slide, you can resume the audio for that slide.
Hi everyone. Thanks so much for your thoughts! Daniel, I thought about that before but I'm unsure how to create a trigger to resume audio after it's played once. When I create a slide with layers I can trigger so that the audio pauses on base slide when I click on the button for the layer. Then, when I close the layer I could trigger the close marker to begin playing audio on base slide from where it left off even if my slide is set to reset to initial state. I just can't seem to do that with slides only.
Thanks for assisting Annie here, but I wanted to mention that it looks like a signature may have pulled on one of your responses and you are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.

I doubt if thats possible. Reset to intial state means resetting everything to start. That will restart the audio.

I will dig up a Storyline play/pause toggle button I created using layers. That might help.
