Please help: slider error - slider name is not consistent in the timeline and in the trigger panel
Mar 13, 2015
Hello,
I am trying to develop a slider interaction to explain the different effect of debits and credits on different types of accounts.
So what I want to do is to drag the slider of Credit, hence the coin stack of expenses and revenue would increase and decrease. -- so when I drag the Credit slider upward, the Expense coin stack should decrease (which it does) and the Revenue coin stack should increase -- but it doesn't.
I checked the triggers and I think everything is correctly set up.
Only thing I see strange is that the slider is actually slider 1 in the timeline, as well as in the trigger set up window. However, in the actual trigger panel on the right side of the screen, it is marked as Slider 6. I think that's because I have been playing around a lot and had added and deleted a lot of sliders.
I attached the story file here.
Can someone please tel me how to fix it?
Thanks a lot!

click on the slider and look at the design tab on the right look what variable is assigned this is what should be referenced in the triggers, the name on the timeline doesn't really matter
thanks for the tip about checking the variable assigned.
It helps!
