Please stop guessing wrong about my case choices
Jul 21, 2021
Storyline 360 assumes that if a few words on a line are ALL CAPS, I will want anything else I type after that TO BE IN ALL CAPS IN THIS IRRITATING, INCORRECT FASHION.
Even if I manually go back and type the letters again in lower case, Storyline just forces them back to all caps. I have to use the Change Case button in the Ribbon to manually switch to sentence case.
Please stop that. I don't mean "Please let me turn it off in the settings," although that would still be better than the current state. Just remove that antifeature from the program. Every single keyboard made in the last several decades already has an ALL CAPS button. We don't need you to pointlessly emulate it in software and turn it on without asking.
Just stop it.

Never seen this and tried it on my machine and it works fine (never happens), any chance you have sticky keys enabled, or some other accessibility tool that is interfering with this?
Nope.
I would raise a support case as it is not normal behaviour unless you have a placeholder imported from PPT that is doing it

Possibly because I pasted the text from Word? Pasting from Word seems to cause multiple problems in Storyline.
Thanks for reaching out, Carl, and I'm sorry you're experiencing some irritating behavior. Happy to troubleshoot this with you.
You mentioned pasting the text from Word into Storyline:
Here's a 1-minute video of my test. I'm having difficulty replicating what you described, so if you could share more detail as to when you see this behavior or share a Peek recording, it would be helpful.
I'm staying tuned for your response so we can keep at this!
