Power Point morph video compressing

Feb 10, 2020

I am using Powerpoint morph option to create a very short video (MP4), but when I insert the video into my Storyline it is not as clear.  The option to bypass Compression is greyed out.  Is this because  Powerpoint 365 and it has the Articulate attachment?  The video is of a document that I zoom into portions so the clarity is very important.

If I just open the video file from desktop it is very clear, so issue is not MP4 from Powerpoint.

Hi Norma,

Thanks for contacting us to share what you are running into when adding your video to Storyline.

Storyline supports uncompressed MP4 videos in the published output. This applies to the three most common MP4 profiles: baseline, main, and high.

If the Compression property is grayed out, it means your video was created with a different profile or it has been edited with Storyline's built-in video editor.

If you need our team to take a look, then with your permission, I'd like you to share your project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.

I exported the video directly from PowerPoint, used both Full HD (1080p) and HD (720p) on both options the compression option is grayed out so I can't used it.  Is this due to using PP365 and it has the Articulate attachment that it is using Storyline's video editor to be exported?  (I used both export and save as options to MP4 format)
