Powerpoint challenges
Aug 02, 2019
Storyline360 used to import PPoints easily. Not happening now, though.
I've read everything I can find about what the problem may be and have worked my way through the the selfhelp options.
I have Microsoft Office ProPlus as part of the Microsoft 365 online subscription. It is the latest update - it says 'click to run' in small letters in 'About PowerPoint'. I was under the impression that it was installed on the computer, however, this may not be the case.
I can find no way around this issue.
Does this mean I am permanently no longer able to import PPoint?

Oh no, Marilyn. Sorry to hear that's hanging you up!
I'd love to help you nail this down, and have a few clarifying questions:
Do you have Office 365 installed locally on the computer? Storyline 360 is compatible with PowerPoint 2010-2019 (32-bit or 64-bit) and Office 365 (desktop apps only). However, Click-to-Run versions and Office 365 web apps are not supported.
Thank you for your reply.
When I try to load a PPoint, I get a big red cross and 'Failed to load' message.
Screen shot attached relates to PPoint installation.
Office suite is part of our 365 Microsoft online subscription. It downloads and is installed on my computer, though.
Odd thing is that it used to work just fine.
Any suggestions welcome.
Try closing all other apps open on your machine including SL and try again.
No luck, unfortunately.
The screenshot shows 'click to run' beside PowerPoint info, even though it is installed as part the Office suite. Is this likely to be the problem?
I'd say so - see Katie's post above
However, Click-to-Run versions and Office 365 web apps are not supported.
If you want to upload the ppt I can import in for you if that helps -just let me know your story size
Thank you for the offer and time.
I'll find another solution as I was planning on using it as an ongoing part of my development methodology.
