PowerPoint import audio fubar

My co-worker created a pptx and imported the audio into each slide. Then I imported the PowerPoint into Storyline. Unfortunately, Storyline messed up the audio. In some cases the slides had no audio. In other cases, the slides had the wrong audio. This is a workflow we would like to use. Is there a way to make sure the audio doesn’t get messed up? After searching forum posts, I ran Windows Update, but that didn’t help. Any suggestions? Should I submit a ticket on this?

Hi John!
If you've already ensured that all of your files are located on the same local drive, then yeah, go ahead and send us the PowerPoint file in a new case, and we'll be happy to take a look.
Thanks!

Hola Luis!
Me pregunto si fueron capaces de probar cualquiera de los pasos de resolución I recomendado por aquí?
Háganos saber para que podamos seguir ayudando.
¡Gracias!
UPDATE: It was a ppt, not a pptx. The file was located on the same local drive. I submitted Case Number 00323267. Thanks!
Thanks, John.
Miker is testing your file now, and will be contacting you shortly.
Miker had me do a clean install of Storyline. (it included running a slCleanup.bat file to delete the Storyline registry keys). That fixed the problem. WAY TO GO, MIKER!
Awesome, John! Thanks for updating the thread. And glad to hear things are running smoothly again!
Miker rocks
Whoops! It started out OK, but it's still messed up. I'll try what Miker suggested for the .NET Framework and Flash.
The instructions for verifying the .NET Framework say "Ensure that the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is selected, and click the OK button." I'm unsure exactly what should be selected. Here's the prompt:
Is it correct the way it is, or should either or both of "Windows Communication Foundation" boxes also be checked?
Hi John,
My system is configured exactly as yours in the screenshot above. Have you had a chance to finish the steps, including the fresh install of Flash player?
If you're still having trouble, please update Miker so he can get this resolved for you.
Thanks!
All steps completed, including Flash install. Still have the same problem. Am uploading files to Miker.
Shoot, sorry for the trouble, John. Please continue working with Miker until he, or a senior engineer, are able to get this ironed out for you.
I hope it's resolved quickly
Hi, I'm interested in getting Storyline, but I would need clients to add audio to PPT & would then have to import the files to Storyline. I have seen several posts where people have had trouble getting their audio to transfer seamlessly from ppt into Storyline. I'm wondering if this is a supported feature of the product and why there seem to be issues with it. Has this been fixed in any recent version updates? Any information about this topic would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Beth
Hi Beth, and welcome to the Heroes Community.
I do not know the outcome of this thread, however, as you are getting them to add audio to .ppt, anyway, why not just import .ppt to SL, then bring the audio separately?
OK - you need to do an extra step, but that works so may be the best workflow.
Hope that helps.
Once again a warm welcome.
Bruce
