When importing into Storyline from Powerpoint there are a few things to keep in mind, and the full list is here, but I included the animation/transition pieces below:
Entrance and Exit Animations
PowerPoint entrance and exit animations are supported in Storyline and will be imported—though some will be converted to Fade animations. Click here for details.
Emphasis Animations
Emphasis animations aren't supported in Storyline and won't be imported.
Motion Path Animations
PowerPoint motion path animations that have equivalent counterparts in Storyline are supported and will be imported. Motion path animations that aren't supported in Storyline will be ignored during the import process. Click here for details.
Slide Transitions
PowerPoint slide transitions that have equivalent counterparts in Storyline are supported and will be imported. Transitions that aren't supported in Storyline will be ignored during the import process. Click here for details.
It's also important to note, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge don't support masking animations in HTML5 output. As a result, some Storyline 360/Storyline 3 animations and transitions won't work in these browsers or in CD-published output.
Sure thing, a masking animation is one that covers or uncovers the object/slide. Here's a list to help you out:
Object Animations
Slide and Layer Transitions
Random Bars
Shape
Split
Wheel
Wipe
Blinds
Checkerboard
Circle
Clock
Diamond
Dissolve
In
Out
Plus
Random Bars
Split

Hi Ashley,
Thank you for the quick reply. Can you tell me what a masking animation is?
Thank you so much,
