I have a client who publishes articulate lessons directly from within PowerPoint. I am learning Articulate StoryLine, and I would like to add some javascript Slide Triggers to his lessons to communicate with our database. Can I open his lesson in StoryLine somehow?
I presume he is using Studio, you can import a Studio project into storyline and add yoiur triggers but it will then be a storyline package there is no way back.
Thanks so much Phil. He sent me all of his files but I only see pptx, mp3, swf, xml and html files in the folder. Do you know what the extension for a Studio file would look like? StoryLine is .story (as I am sure you know!) I don't know what I am looking for.
OK. Now my client tells me to insert his published project into StoryLine as a web object and then add my javascript to the new StoryLine slide. I have inserted a web object (
http://financialawarenessinstitute.com/Pre-Paid/player.html ) and published this out but I get a big white square with no lesson in it. How does one make a web object play automatically when loaded?
When you insert a web object, there is an option for it to load automatically as in the image below:
You'll also want to make sure that you're not testing this locally, but with the published version in the intended environment. If you are viewing in the published version, you may also want to review this article.
