I have a PowerPoint with a voice recording on each slide that I am trying to load into Articulate Storyline so I can load it into our LMS software, however when I load it into Storyline the voice over doesn’t come with the PowerPoint. How can I fix this?
Hi, Diana -- Thanks for reaching out, and if you DO happen to have M4A files as Ron mentioned and that is what is causing your issue, you will want to check out the following article for some additional details: M4A Audio Files in PowerPoint Aren't Imported into Articulate Storyline.
Thanks for getting back to me. No I do not know if the file is an M4A as I didn’t record it, someone else did. How can I check and see how it was formatted?

Hi, Diana -- Thanks for your reply, and in order to check which type of file format you have, all you need to do is right click on the file, click on Properties from the drop down list, and from the General tab, you will be able to see the file type as highlighted below:
I also wanted to note in case you were not aware, that when you reply to a forum notification via email, the details in your signature (address, phone number, etc.) are displayed publicly here in the post. Thank you for getting back to me. Looks like my file is saved as just .pptx. What should I do from here so that the voice over recording transfers over to storyline? (See attached photo)
Hi, Diana -- Thanks for your reply, and I think it may be best if we were able to look at any files you can provide (.pptx, .ppta, etc.), if possible. Please use this form if you'd like to share for confidential review and we'll be in touch via email from within your case shortly thereafter! :)

There is a known issue with m4a audio files in PPT not getting imported into Storyline. Do you know what kind of files they are?

Hi Diana!
You should be able to take a peek in the ppta file to see the file format of the included files.
I also wanted to mention that replying to the forums via e-mail attaches your signature. You are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.
