I am wondering if there is a preferred image type that we should use in Storyline to get the best quality? Is it preferable to use jpeg, png, etc. or does it matter?
I don't think it matters as. I mostly use PNG because it supports transparencies, but you can use others. I havn't had any quality issues after publishing. The quality of the image I put in to SL seems to come out just as good on the published side.
Thanks Daniel, I was just wondering b/c I believe in Articulate 09 there was a preferred format so I thought it may be that way in Storyline as well. Also when I put my company logo (a png image) in the player it appears fuzzy. Not sure why?
We had reports of this behavior when the player is set to "scale to fill browser window" and if set to "lock player at optimal size" it allows the logo file to display as expected.
Hi Leslie, I am using Storyline 2. I do currently have it set to scale to fill the browser window. I just changed the setting to "lock player at optimal size" and did a preview but it still looks the same. Is this perhaps something I need to publish first to verify the change?
I have not noticed any other image issues, just the logo. I haven't tried to put the image in a slide layer though vs. the just the player menu, wonder if it still looks fuzzy?
I tested the image on a slide and there doesn't seem to be any quality issues there. It seems there is a slight quality degradation only when I put the image in the player menu for some reason.
Your logo size is 576 x 77, so Storyline is scaling that to fit.
For best results, use an image that is a maximum of 200 pixels wide and 220 pixels high. If your image doesn't fit within those dimensions, Storyline will scale it to fit.

Hi Brandy!
Are you utilizing Storyline 1 or 2?

Does this apply to you as well?

If you share a copy of your logo I can test it out to see if I can get the same results. Have you experienced it with other images in SL2?
I agree with Daniel. If you could share your .story file and your logo, we could take a look and compare.
Here is the logo image I am using.

Ahh, makes sense. Thanks Leslie and Daniel!
