Prev/Next Button on Review of Question Slides

Jun 19, 2014

Hey Community!

Quick question. Can someone please confirm for me that there is no way to disable question slides from automatically turning on the Prev/Next buttons when visiting that slide on a subsequent review? I've seen a few discussions about this and few suggested solutions - none of which seem to be working for me.

THANKS!

Tim

Hi Tim!

When you revisit a slide that has already been submitted—no matter how you get there—you're reviewing the slide.

We'll always see the "Previous" and "Next" buttons when reviewing questions.

Here's some information from an article on this topic:

When learners review a quiz (or revisit question slides they've already submitted), they'll see Articulate Storyline's built-in Prev and Next buttons in the lower right corner of the player—even if you've disabled them throughout your course.

These navigation buttons are necessary for learners to review quiz slides.

If you'd like to have an option to disable the Prev and Next buttons during quiz review so you can use your own custom navigation buttons, please let us know. We value your feedback.

I know that doesn't help as far as a workaround goes, but hopefully this is the information you were seeking.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Christine

Hi - I have a follow up on this. In several courses I've created, when reviewing these previously submitted slides, the previous and next button tend to not advance (or do anything) so my learner has to close out and not resume where they were and not review again. This happens almost every time. Is this because there is branching for my submit button (really the continue button after correct or incorrect) that is not being applied to the NEXT button?
