I have a short video in a course and want learners to reflect on it. They are asked to write three key messages they have taken from what they saw and enter it in a free form text box.
How do I stop them from simply hitting "Next" and going to the next slide before they take the time to reflect?
Alternatively, is there a way for them to save, and then later print, what they have typed so they have a record of it?
You could accomplish this by adding a condition to the "Jump to Next Slide" trigger that the text entry variable is not blank.
You could also create a second trigger on the next button that shows a new layer that contains some sort of a message telling them they need to fill in the text box before moving on. It will only show this message layer if the first trigger didn't move to the next slide (make sure it is listed second under the next button).
Hi guys - I am having an issue with this, I have 2 boxes that need to have information entered before the learner can click Submit to move to the next slide - but following this guidance above is not achieving what I am expecting.
