Prevent quiz response reset on relaunch
Sep 18, 2018
I have a course that starts with a refresher quiz (it's a question bank) that is followed by some refresher content if they fail. Only the last slide of the refresher content has the reset quiz button. The idea is that if they fail the quiz, they need to relearn the content. The problem is that folks have noticed when you relaunch the course, it resets the quiz, so they don't need to go through all the content. Any ideas on how I can prevent this from happening? (I have all my quiz slides set to "Resume saved state" and changed the player to "Always resume" -- but it still relaunches on the quiz with responses reset.)

Hello David and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
It sounds like you've set it up correctly. Curious if you can replicate this behavior in SCORM Cloud or if this is only happening within your LMS?
If you can replicate and you'd like us to take a look at your .story file, please feel free to share with me here. If you cannot share publicly in the community forum, you are welcome to share privately with our team here.
Thanks @Leslie. So maybe there's a special "save state" setting in the LMS I need to ask the administrators to set?
Hi David!
That's a possibility, but we'd want to double-check your content in SCORM Cloud to be sure. That will tell us whether the problem is actually related to your LMS or not.
Share your file with us here, and we'll help you with that testing!
I wish I could do that, but it contains proprietary information.
No problem. Let us know how testing goes in SCORM Cloud!
Just a heads up, our support team is happy to sign NDAs when necessary, and we keep your content secure!
Hi David,
You can certainly check your content in SCORM Cloud yourself via the link that Alyssa shared above and the second link to share the file is a private link for you to work directly with a support engineer if needed. We can sign an NDA as well if required.
Just let us know what your further testing finds, and we'd be happy to help you out.
