Preventing the slide name from appearing in Notes tab
Aug 28, 2013
I have narration on some screen recordings which I want to display in the Notes tab of the side panel. Storyline however automatically creates slide names for each slide in the screen recording, e.g. "Click the Next button" or "Scroll down," etc. These then appear in bold at the top of the Notes tab above the narration. This is very distracting as all I want the user to see is the narration, not a description (sometime quite cryptic) of what is happening on the screen.
Is there some way to turn this off? I can go through and manually rename every slide to be just a "space" character but that is awfully tedious. Is there a better way?

Hi Brett,
Unfortunately there isn't a way to turn this off, as if you turned off showing the slide title in the menu, then it wouldn't appear in the Notes tab either. It sounds like something you may want to submit a feature request for though. You can either rename the slides in the Menu set up or within the Slide view themselves.
Thanks Ashley. At least the workaround of using the space character as the name for slides works... Will put in the request though as it would be very useful and the names that SL gives the slides often isn't very useful.
Glad the workaround will suffice for now, and thanks for submitting the feature request.
