I thought I could preview from a certain slide or scene and then forward thru the project. But I can't seem to get this working. The project is about 20 minutes and it takes so long when I preview from the beginning to fix issues and then retest again. Can I do this and how? Please help ASAP.
as Phil said you can preview a slide, scene or whole project but it will depend where you are in the story. If you have a scene with two slides and select preview scene - it will only preview that scene and stop, you can't start from that scene and keep going.
Just to confirm: when previewing a scene, if you stop a scene preview at a particular slide, to edit that slide let's say, you cannot then resume the scene preview from that slide; you can only preview a scene from the beginning. Is that correct?
That's a really handy feature to take advantage of so I'm glad you found it, Laura!
Also just a note that when you reply to a thread via email, you're signature is included here in the post. No worries though- you're more than welcome to pop in and edit that info out, if desired. 🙂
The Preview scene from this slide feature is one that I miss a lot from Captivate. Why? When you are on slide 65 of 90 in a simulation. Shift-F12 renders the entire scene, and even if you can skip, it is cumbersome and wasting time to render all that stuff.
It would had been a time saver to have it merely go from where I am actively working and to the end.
Thanks for that feedback - you can preview a specific slide or a specific scene, and you can use the selector drop down while previewing a section to jump to a specific slide.

Hey Laura!
You can select what slide you want to jump to while in Preview by hitting the Select option at the top left and choosing a slide:
Hope that's helpful!
Yes. Thank you. I figured that out after I posted my question.
I appreciate your quick response!

HI Soren,
Thanks for that feedback - you can preview a specific slide or a specific scene, and you can use the selector drop down while previewing a section to jump to a specific slide.
