Preview Slide/Scene cuts off first few seconds of audio

Hello,
I'm using the Storyline Audio Recorder to put audio on some slides as a rough draft before I get in a soundbooth and record it for real. I go to Insert > Audio > Audio > Record Mic. I press the red button to record and press save when I'm done. I double click the audio from the timeline and remove all silence from the beginning and end of the clip, then save it again. When I double click this snippet from the timeline AGAIN and play the trimmed version, I hear the full recording. However, when I go to Preview > This Slide or Preview > This Scene, it cuts off the first few seconds of audio on every slide where I've used Insert > Audio > Record Mic. It does not cut off audio on slides where I've made a video and recorded my audio in Camtasia. What am I doing wrong?
