I have incorporated a template (that did not have any previous or next buttons) into my story file. However, even if I have tried copying the 'previous' and 'next' triggers, such buttons are still not visible when previewing.
I'd love to help - and we'd want to take a look at your .story file to see how everything is set up. Can you share it here using the "add attachment" button?
Are you seeing something different on your end? If you could include a few screenshots, that would be helpful! Simply open this thread and attach the screenshots in a new thread comment.
Yes what I am wondering is how to do it, so that my next buttons don't let you go to the next slide unless you watch the whole slide. So you can go to every slide previous and next but I don't want that to happen unless they have watched the slide. How do I go about doing that. I have figured out how to have it be limited, but then they can't click on the previous button. So i am not sure what to do?
We need them to be able to see previous screens but also then not get to the next slide before the audio/video is done.
Ah, I see! It sounds like you want to use Restricted Navigation. This means learners can view the current slide and any slide they previously viewed, but they can't jump ahead or skip over slides using the course menu.
If you also want to restrict the player navigation buttons, mark the corresponding box to Restrict Next/Previous buttons.

Make sure the Prev/Next buttons are selected in the slide properties, see here for info.
Thank you very much. I had forgotten how to view slide properties.
I have all my slide navigation previous buttons check marked. and I still can't see my previous button when I use the player?
Need help, what do I do. I know my next button shows up when the timeline ends, is that why? How do I turn that off and on
Thanks,
Tess

Here you go.
Thanks, Tess! I tested your file, and I saw the Previous and Next buttons on every slide. Please have a look at my testing here.
