Hi! I have my previous buttons set to go to specific slides but none them are working. When I click a previous button, nothing happens. All of the next buttons are setup the similarly and work fine.
I am using several of the slide templates for slide interactions so maybe that is the problem? I have searched carefully to make share there are no duplicate previous buttons and I've made sure that they are all set to return to the initial state. Lastly, my project is pretty large and complex with 13 scenes.
Are you working from your local hard drive? Also, are you seeing this when you preview your project, or after you publish? It might be helpful if you could share your file with us so we can get a closer look. You can attach it here in the thread by using the ADD ATTACHMENT button, or you can send it directly to our Support Engineers here if you’d prefer to send it privately.
Hi Alyssa, no I am not working on a local drive. I did move my module to my local drive but it has not resolved the problem. Yes, this is happening (or not happening as the case may be) when I preview the project as well as when I upload it to my LMS.
I will upload it for the support engineers to review, hopefully they can advise what I'm doing wrong. :-)
If I upload it here, for you to look at, can I delete it later? It's a work product.
Hmm, that's interesting Marque. Be sure to let me know your case number once you open the case--I'd like to follow along and find out what the culprit is.
Turns out that I set the Menu setting of the Player to Locked because I don't want uses to be able to jump around the learning module. Apparently, it also locks the button as well. I set the Menu to Restricted and that seemed to solve the problem. Thanks Again for your help Alyssa!
Glad you were able to get this figured out Marque. Thanks for popping in with an update.
For anyone else that may run across this thread:
Here's the difference between restricted and locked navigation:
Restricted navigation means learners can view the current slide and any slide they've previously viewed, but they can't jump ahead or skip over slides.
Locked navigation means learners can only view slides in the order you've designed. They can't jump ahead or skip over slides, nor can they go back to any previously viewed slides.
