I have a strange issue I haven't seen before and couldn't find in other discussions. I have a ungraded survey/quiz slide set with unlimited attempts. If the user clicks the back button on the slide after it (slide 2 in attached images) to return to the survey question (slide 1), the prev/next buttons appear below the slide.
They are set to not appear and do not appear when moving forward.
This occurs in both Storyline 3 and 360.
Why does this happen, and how can I turn them off?
I confirmed that the only way to turn them off is through the Player button on the Home ribbon. Since you've already done this, this may be best reported to the support team directly.
You likely have previous and next buttons in the course somewhere (perhaps a s scene that is not accessible, if you delete them completely they should not appear.
Hi - and thank you for your response. After some research, I determined that the reason the buttons were returning was because we were returning to a survey question slide that had already been submitted, so Storyline treated it as a quiz review. I was able to turn off the buttons by going to the master slide and adding triggers to change the state of the next and previous buttons to hidden when the timeline started. That solved it. The users could then navigate using the buttons we provided.
Glad to hear you figured it out Amber, and the quiz questions will show a previous/next button on a review so that the user has a way to navigate to additional slides.
Also, it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

I hope this helps.
