Print Current Slide - JavaScript Issues in Chrome
Oct 22, 2014
Hi everyone,
I've been looking around here for a solution to a problem that I have, but it looks like no one has solved it yet.
I currently have a button on one of my slides that allow people to print the slide they're currently on. This works by using the following JavaScript trigger:
window.print()
When you click it in Internet Explorer, the slide prints just fine, but when you use Chrome (and I've heard Firefox as well) all that prints is a blank sheet of paper.
Does anyone have any new ideas on this topic? I've seen people discussing it, but like I said before, I don't think anyone's solved it yet.
Also, if there is no solution, would there be another way to allow users to print a current slide?
Thank you!

We had the same issue - our "work around" was to add a layer to the slide that advises the user to print page 1.
Thanks for the response. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to use a "work around" like that though.
Anyone else have ideas?
Hi All,
Please follow the below steps to print your Storyline slides, i think this may be useful.
Solution
Disable the PepperFlash plug-in in Chrome. Follow these steps:
Open a tab in Chrome and type chrome://plugins in the URL bar. Press Enter.
Click Details.
On the Plug-ins page, in the Adobe Flash Player section, click Disable.
Then restart your browser and check now.
Thanks again for sharing Amirtharaj :)
Its a shame as javascript code doesn't work in chrome and firefox and no alternative. We can't ask people to tweak their browser to get a print. I'm stuck on the same issue for a while :(
Looks like I was assisting you here as well.
