In some of our Storyline courses, we have learners select their role (say, customer rep or manager). They then see custom course content (and even assessment questions) based on their choice. In PowerPoint, you can create custom shows that do much the same thing. One thing you can also do in PowerPoint is print just the slides in a custom show. Is something like this available in Storyline?

When you Publish, you can publish to Word, (and can exclude Layers and Notes if you want) - would that help?
Saying that, if you have a load of animated / timed content on the slide it will all appear and look a bit strange on the slide image.
