Print Results Button

Hello,
I had a question regarding the print results button. I want the students to be able to review their test and be able to review their answers for future references. When I insert the button and test out the feature, nothing happens. There's no prompt to print the pages out or anything. Is there something you need to do to make the button function. Also, I would like to know what does the print results button print out? Does it print only the scores or does it also print the quiz questions and answers out? Please let me know.
Thanks,
Ada

The Print doesn't work in Preview, once you have to published your project, it should work. A report might look something like this, which shows the Questions, answers and scores.
Hi Ada! Looks like Michael has you covered here. Just let us know if you need anything further.
Our presentation is published, but yet, the print results function is not working and not generating a print out of the report. Any ideas.
Also, 2 of us have Articulate on our computers. If I email the published version in a zip to my coworker, shouldn't it play? Because it only comes up with a blank screen.
Thank you,
Hi Kelly,
When you publish your course, you'll also need to place that within a web server or LMS to fully test all features. Testing it locally could cause you to encounter local security restrictions.
Additionally, if you need to share files with a colleague who also has Storyline you'll want to follow these guidelines for working collaboratively, and if sharing with another colleague they'll want to view the published version within the intended environment.
Hi Ashley,
I have a small problem. I have 50 randomly-ordered questions for a quiz session, and it is necessary for the instructor to view printed results. The issue is with the print results. Only for two multiple choice questions (34,35), the questions are not displayed. I have no idea why this happens. Should I recreate these two particular slides? I am curious as to what I did wrong. Here is a screen shot of the error message, as well as the storyline file.
Many thanks with this and so many other things.

Ashley,
Never mind, I figured this out. The question was missing in the form view. Silly me.
Thanks
No worries Indrani - thanks for the update. :-)
Hi there. I have the following issue. After a movie I ask the viewer one question about that movie. The answer should be correct before the course will be reported completed. So far so good. I also activate the print result option with the pop-up box for putting in your name. After publishing for LMS, WEB and CD, both LMS and CD works fine. BUT the web publish print option won't work. After clicking the print option, the name pup-up box appear, I put in a namen and click on OK and then nothing happens. What could be the problem? Please help.
Hi Wilfrid,
Sorry to hear that you're running into an issue with this. We do have a some common reasons and solutions listed in this documentation. So, be sure you are viewing in the intended environment and not locally and check another compatible browser to be sure it's not a pop-up blocker.
Leslie,
I would love our LMS or 'Print' function to display like this. How can I achieve this? I am using Storyline 2 output within a LMS.
The goal is for the supervisor to go in and view individual response. All quiz questions are 'Fill in the Blanks'.
Thanks so much.
I have published my course within LMS but still it does not work. The 'print' button does nothing. Thanks
Leslie,
I have an interesting problem. I have added a 'Review' button (for reviewing quiz results) as one of the main buttons that is always available along with Main Menu, Help, COntact and Exit buttons. However, users can only access this button after completing a quiz. The goal is for users to use this button to review a quiz that they have already taken. As of now, this course resides within a LMS. Ideally, users after completing this course and logging off, should be able to access this 'Review Page' when they login and revisit this course at a later time.
For this, I have created a T/F variable called 'ReviewAgain' and set it to 'False'. This resets to 'True' after users complete the last quiz question. From the 'Player' section, I have added a button called 'ReviewPage' with a condition that this button triggers to jump to 'Results' slide, if ReviewAgain'=True. However, somehow I noticed that after posting to LMS, this does not work. The users cannot access the 'Results Page' after they login and access this course.
Please could u help. Thank you so much
Hi Indrani,
I saw you posted in a few different spots about Printing issues, and it looked like Crystal may have helped in one of those discussions. We work as a team to read all the discussions in E-Learning Heroes, so can rest assured we'll respond as soon as we can. You can also always connect with our Support Team for one on one assistance!
For your Review set up, it would help to see the file in question so that we can understand the triggers you've set up and where you're directing the learners to with that button. I'd also want to check that you've set the course up to Resume where the learner left off so that they'd have access to that button.
If you can share your file here, we'll take a look as soon as we can and it also allows folks in the community to weigh in too. Feel free to also use that link I shared earlier to send along to our Support Engineers!
Is it possible to remove the answers from the printed Results?
Hi Diana,
Take a look at this discussion below for a video on modifying the printed results page:
Let us know if you have any further questions as you review the steps!
Thank you for pointing me to this video! Is there any way to edit the code for courses published to review? We are not ready to test in the LMS just yet, but I’d love to show my SMEs the Results page without correct answers.

Hi Diana!
There isn't a way to edit the code for courses published to Review. Can you modify the course and then publish to Review?
hi,
There is problem here! when learner clicks on review and then click on print, the result column appears blank and points awarded also turn to be zero. However, when the user clicks on print directly I can everything
Hi E Y!
Can you make sure your Results Slide is reporting all of the questions? It sounds like there might be questions that aren't reported.
Also, are you using Graded Questions or Survey Questions?
If you can share your file, that would be helpful too!
Hi,
How can I make sure that the questions come out of the printed results?
At the moment I get a screen like the one attached, although I have entered the title to each slide of the question.
Thanks so much
Alice
Hi Alice,
Do you know what version of Storyline you're using?
You can check by going to:
Help > About Articulate Storyline
We are currently on Build 3.43.22859.0 Storyline 360. You can read all of the details here.
I did a quick test, published here, and I'm seeing the question text as expected:
What do you see when taking a look at the link I shared above and looking at the Printed Results?
Hi Leslie.
Thanks so much. I confirm that I am using the version indicated by you.
In the link you sent me, on the print page I see the question correctly. In what format did you publish the survey?
I published it in Review 360, to insert the object in Rise: could this be the problem?
Thanks
Alice
Thanks for confirming you are seeing what I'm seeing, Alice.
I published to LMS since I didn't know how you were publishing and we're talking bout 'Results' so I assumed LMS.
That should not be the problem and to confirm, I published your course to Review 360:
I'm seeing the expected results in these environments as well.
I'm attaching the sample file I used for you to test. With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
Hi Everyone.
I have a set of 16 questions and we want that the print button should also show the username and roll no. captured in text boxes in the beginning of the quiz on the print page.
Also, is it possible to send the print data (instead of a new tab) to an email with all details?
