Hello. I've got a results slide at the end of my project and I've activated the Print Results option. However, when I'm on the results slide and select the 'Print Results' option it asks me to enter my name but then nothing happens. Nothing gets printed and the screen just sits there. What have I missed?
First, and I know this may sound silly, do you have a printer connected and turned on?
How are you viewing the course when this happens? Are you viewing it locally? If so, you may need to upload the content to a web server or LMS for this to work properly. If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
If you have uploaded the content and this still happens, can you tell me which browser you're using to view the course? It may be a restriction that's not allowing the print feature to function properly.
The problem may be with the fact that you're publishing it to a network drive and launching it from there. As I mentioned above, make sure you are testing the content in the environment for which its intended.
Do you plan on distributing the course on the network drive once its finished? This may cause some issues, if so. However, if you intend on uploading the course to a web server or LMS, that would be the best place to test it. Try uploading the course and see if you experience the same problem.
Thanks for the response. The plan to run all of the training programs that have been published to a network drive. We currently do not have an LMS and don't have the budget for one. I have our IT department looking into a web server and are going to get back to me.
Is running the program of a network drive possible?
I've heard of some courses running well if published for CD on a network drive, but not all. It might be worth a try, though
If that doesn't work, there's currently a free trial available for Articulate Online, you could always try testing the course out there. Alternatively, there may be some free LMS services that you could use, but you'd probably want to make sure you do your research.
If your IT department is able to set up a web server, that would be great! Hopefully they'll be able to set this up for you.
As I mentioned previously in this thread, running courses (published or for editing) is not suggested. However, you could certainly try my earlier suggestion about publishing for CD and hosting it on the drive. It really depends on how you need to distribute the course.
You may also want to consider posting over in the Building Better Courses section of the forums. Perhaps some of our talented community members have had some luck providing courses to others on a network drive and can give you some tips for how to do so, smoothly.
Hi Di! Here is our documentation on results slides in Quizmaker. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish, so if you could provide more details, that would be helpful.

Hi There,
I am having the same problem.
We are publishing this to a shared network drive and nothing happens on the print or email buttons.
Help!

Hi,
I'm having the exact same problem, using a network drive to publish.
Very interested in any fixes.
Thanks, Kim.

I have followed the following instructions for an Articulate Studio 9 Quizmaker quiz, but still no results appear:
I have published for WEB and am viewing it in a Chrome browser.
