Printing a certificate of completion

Jan 31, 2014

I really like using the text entry variables to make the course more personalized.  In the "Adding Text Variables" tutorial, is there any way to be able to print the certificate (maybe a .pdf file) at the end with the participant's name in it?

Thanks!

Hi Kimberly and welcome to the community!

First, the easiest method would be to have the learner print from their web browser. Most browsers will allow you to print from any web page you have open - including a course. You could put a small amount of instructional text at the base of your slide if you'd like your learners to use this method. For example, in Chrome, if I right-click this page, I can select "Print". This will allow me to print the entire page.

As for a PDF, no, learners won't be able to put the content into a document with any built-in functionality.

There's also a pretty awesome thread posted by Steve Flowers that may help you get your certificate set up for printing.

Take a look:

I hope this helps!
