I am needing to have students print a certification checklist after they complete a quiz successfully. How do I put the document in Storyline 2 and have it where they can print for sign off by their manager?
Should it be a pdf document? Or is there another option?
I am not totally sure if this is what you are looking for, but there's a great thread posted by Hero Steve Flowers that may help you get your certificate set up for printing.
And you may already have this information, but I also wanted to note that if you decide to go the JavaScript route, we don't provide support for JS, but it may be helpful to take a look at this document on JavaScript Best Practices. Hopefully, some of our experts in the community can chime in with other suggestions!
Hi, Barry -- if you use the method Michael shared, you'd be using a hyperlink trigger to open the pdf in a new tab, so the users would have to print from their browser window, or PDF viewer, whichever pops open. Does that make sense?

Take a look: Example files: Generating a certificate from Storyline

If the checklist is an existing pdf (not generated 'on-the-fly', which would require Javascript), you can simply link to it as described here.
Great addition, Michael! Thank you for sharing that link, as well. :)
It is an existing pdf document. Can I then add a print button so the user can print it for sign off by their manager?
I am very new to Articulate Storyline. This course is one of my own "learning" experiences.
Thanks for all the replies.

Perfect sense. Thanks, Christie. Acrobat Reader will open for my users. They can print from there. I appreciate all the feedback today.
Awesome, Barry -- glad we're on the same page, and you're set! We're all happy to help. :)
