Printing Options in Storyline
May 19, 2012
No previous knowledge of Articulate, so please bear with me.
I stumbled upon SL two days ago, and can't walk away. I keep comparing the great features it has with the program I am currently using.
I've been searching for print options for various objects you may have on your stage. I've looked under triggers, properties, etc.
I've searched the posts and have seen some answers with Javascript, Flash, etc. I don't have these skills or programs, so these are not options.
Very simply, in Storyline, how can you print:
1 - A certificate with learner's name
2 - A visible slide
3- Text boxes
4 - And yes, even a group of objects
Thanks!

Hello Ashley,
Cheers for that. Didn't know you could do that.
Thank you

Hi Claire,
No problem and just an FYI that responding via email includes your signature here and you are welcome to edit the post to remove that information if you'd like.

Hi Vishal,
The Javascript code is not something we can assist with, so you may want to reach out to other users in this forum thread or others to see if they are able to offer advice or specifics. You can contact them directly using the "Contact me" button on their profile. Also here is some additional information in regards to using the Javascript.
Thanks Ashley,
Is there any other option to print the current page. But i just want to print only page not the complete window.
Thanks for your time.
Hi Vishal,
It'll be something I'll have to defer to the community in regards to, as I'm not equipped to know about Javascript or able to support it.
window.print();
This is the code that I am trying right now.

Hi Helena,
It looks like I also answered in this discussion - so you'll want to make sure you're testing within the intended environment as mentioned.
I am using the javascript code to print a slide and its still coming up blank. What code did you use?
Hi Helena,
Did you look into where you're testing it? Have you uploaded to a web server or LMS? What browser are you using to test it? I'm not sure that folks are still subscribed to this thread, but you may want to reach out to them via the "contact me" button on their profile to see if they're able to assist as it's not something Articulate staff can assist with.
