Private Browing iPad
Mar 08, 2013
Hi All,
we ran into issues with some of out iPads....
On some of the machines, after the "play" was clicked in the start window, the iPad ran idle... and nothing happened anymore
After some digging we found a solution to our problem.
Is seems that the "private browsing" setting is an iPad is preventing from continuing after the the "Play" window. So remember to set it of when taking training courses....
I Hope it helps
Cheers
Geert

Official documentation and instructions for turning it off here.
Better learner experience if Storyline would inform the learner to turn off private browsing. Without this feature, a lot of learners are going to be in the dark.
I'm with ya, Sam. I know you're a proponent of a "Before you get started, keep these things in mind..." type of document, and I think it would be helpful to organize our existing knowledge base into something like that. We'll see what we can do.
Hope you have a great weekend, guys!
Peter,
I looked at this some months ago, I thought private browsing was detectable. There's not much an instructional designer could do, but a JavaScript in Storyline could detect the condition on an iPad and post a message for the learner.

Great idea. I'll add a feature request of my own.
I've jest added one too
