Probems with buttons disappearing etc.

Feb 28, 2018

Hi,

I got some problems with my buttons. As far as I can see, I just got the right triggers (another look when mouse hovers over and going to another slide by clicking). But still some weird things happen! Some buttons disappear or just move to hover state and stay like this, when the mouse is not there anymore. See the screen recording in the following link:
https://360.articulate.com/review/content/86f33315-798a-4153-962c-0de837096b2b/review

Note that I just hover over the different buttons and only click on "verder" (next) and "terug" (back), not on anything else. (all buttons are till the end on the timeline)

Can someone help me with this?

Hi Marc,

did you trigger the states by hand? If you didn´t already you should use a button set for your items which have the states normal, mouse over, selected and maybe visited. Storyline handle the state changes of preset states automatically so you don´t have to trigger them yourself.

If it still doesn´t work, maybe you cuold share these 2 slides with us here via the add attachment button. :)

Hi Marc,

as I thought you have triggered yourself and this causes this problem. When i deleted the triggers, it worked. And you should insert the text into the buttons. Triggering groups can be difficult so you should be careful with this.

I attached a file for you where I duplicated your scene and anjust the first slide how I would build this. I added all buttons to a button set so only one button can be in the state selected. You have to adjust the colors tho. :) Hope this helps.

Thank you Richard for thinking with me.

When I preview the slide, it's fine, but previewing the entire project still causes problems. It also differs every time I preview which button disappears. In the first slide some of the bleu and in the second 'Verder' disappears. (I also checked the 'restore when mouse leaves').

Hopefully you see something else that may cause the problem! :)

(attached the file with the trigger removed)
