I am presently evaluating a trial copy of Storyline. I am using a Mountain Lion Mac - partioned in Bootcamp to run Windows 7 (so in theory, the software should react as if it is running on Windows 7). I'm having a problem seeing objects correctly, as shown below. Any idea what can be causing this or what the remedy might be?
This smells like a video driver issue to me. eHow has a decent article on How to Update Video Drivers. Better yet, if you're in a Corporate environment with an IT Team, ask them to help you out!
A quicker, band-aid type solution might be to disable Hardware Acceleration in Flash. If this solves the problem however, outdated Video Drivers are most likely the root cause. I would only consider this a work-around until you are able to update your Video Drivers.
Please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
Hi Justin. Thanks for the speedy reply. Unfortunately, it didn't help. In my windows partition, the drivers show up as being up to date. The same is true for the Mac partition.
I was able to disable hardware acceleration - reboot an then reopen my project. Nothing has changed.
Any other ideas? Does the trial version function differently than the full version? I can understand why Flash might be an issue with published files, but the problem that I am experiencing is primarily while working in the Storyline interface. Would uninstalling and reinstalling help? (IfI try this will I still have the remaining amount of days left on my trial)?
There is no functional difference between the Trial and Paid versions of Storyline, and the timeline on your trial will be retained from uninstall through reinstall. Rather than just a straight uninstall/reinstall, however, I'd recommend following the steps in this article which is a bit cleaner and touches some related dependencies.

I have the same problem as Karin did except that I'm running Storyline through parallels. I tried all of the solutions that Justin Grenier suggested on this thread but none of the interventions were successful. I even isolated my mac from the virtual Windows 7 and stopped all sharing, uninstalled and re installed several times...the same issue is happening. Not sure what to try next. Please help. Thanks!
I eventually solved my own problem. I have a new 15" Retina Display MacBook Pro. In Parallels Build 8.0.18101, in the Virtual Machine Configure menu, click the hardware tab and go to the Video row. The third heading down is Retina Display. Under that heading, make sure that "Optimize Windows for Full Resolution" is UNCHECKED. This resolved my issue. I was then able to restore all the sharing between MAC and PC sides of my virtual machine without a problem.

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!
Would having your Windows screen fonts to be larger than normal cause something like this? Or having a browser display at greater than 100%?
Nice thought, Gerry.
Before you uninstall or reinstall, Karen, give this article a look.
Thanks again, Gerry!
Justin - YOU ARE A GENIUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That worked perfectly.
Thanks so much.
Karen
Gerry gets all the credit for that one. Thank you, sir!
